COVID-19 Prevention Policy

May 2022 Update - the new normal has resumed in store.

In Line with Government Guidelines the following are being implemented:

Online Retailing Retailers can continue to fulfil online orders, but this can only be done on the basis where they are confident in their ability to comply with the relevant public health guidelines and can adhere to the following:

  1. The administration/processing activities associated with online orders and fulfilment must be carried out while working from home (i.e. working from home and not office based);
  2. The employer must only have a minimum level of staff on site (e.g. in warehouse) for fulfilment;
  3. The requirements in relation to physical distancing must be rigorously adhered to in the carrying out of the fulfilment and delivery activities

Click/Call and Collect • Retailers can continue to fulfil orders using click/call and collect services in compliance with government guidelines (i.e. online or phone orders). For click/call and collect, allocate specific times for scheduled collection appointments while minimise physical interaction between staff and customers as much as is practicable. Effective queue management must be put in place to ensure compliance with physical distancing requirements when customer collections are taking place.

NOTE: As part of the government’s Covid-19 restrictions, click/call and collect services for non-essential retail are temporarily suspended from the 6th January 2021 until further notice

Cleanliness

This includes deep and thorough cleaning procedures carried out daily and the installation of hand sanitising points at the entrance of the store and near checkout counters.

Non touching of products where it is not required

Hygiene practices: • tissues, • hand sanitiser, disinfectant • gloves, masks •

Regular Cleaning of stock and contact surfaces

Products sanitised prior to dispatch by Disinfectant wipes with a final polish to remove.

Limited - the number of people allowed in the store

In order to maintain social distancing the maximum number of people than can be accommodated in-store at any one time is limited to 2. To improve store safety measures the layout of the shop has been changed in a way that encourages social distancing. A one-way system is in place, and signage that reinforces the importance of social distancing to help minimise risk.

During Click and Collect, service will be at the entrance to the shop, with a barrier in place to stop entry to the shop proper.
